Sun Capital Partners Foundation, Inc. Makes $100,000 Donation to HANDY, Non-Profit Serving At-Risk Youth

BOCA RATON, Fla.--()--Sun Capital Partners Foundation, Inc. (“The Foundation”), today announced that it has selected Fort Lauderdale-based charity HANDY (“Helping Abused Neglected Disadvantaged Youth”) to receive a $100,000 grant. HANDY is a non-profit organization whose mission is to embrace, educate, and empower vulnerable youth to become engaged, productive adults. HANDY annually serves more than 1,300 at-risk children who participate in comprehensive programs that focus on education, youth development, and economic self-sufficiency.

“We’re exceedingly proud to contribute to HANDY’s invaluable work supporting disadvantaged youth, and are very pleased to be able to help them in their mission,” said Marc Leder, Co-CEO of Sun Capital Partners and President of The Foundation. “HANDY is an award-winning non-profit organization offering an expansive list of programs to help children and young people who have been removed from their homes because of domestic violence, substance abuse or abandonment, and we are eager to help them address these vital community issues.”

The Foundation serves to enhance Sun Capital’s strong culture of social engagement and giving back. Previous grant recipients include Boca Helping Hands, Women in Distress, Junior Achievement of South Florida, SOS Children’s Villages, and the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation.
