KKB is a Washington, D.C., boutique law firm that has focused on food-and-drug and advertising law issues for over 60 years. Ms. Onel's practice includes counseling international and domestic clients on a broad range of legal and regulatory issues affecting FDA-regulated products, with a particular concentration on medical device and food law.

For over 26 years, Ms. Onel has advised clients on FDA's requirements for product approval, safety, manufacturing and labeling. She has dealt with complex enforcement actions and investigations, and counseled senior management on market entry strategies, labeling, promotional activities, regulatory compliance, recalls and the preparation of FDA submissions, especially for medical devices and foods. She has represented clients before the FDA, FTC, USDA and other federal, state and international agencies. Her practice also includes FDA due diligence and advising companies and private equity/venture capital investors on transactional matters involving life sciences companies. For her work in FDA law, Suzan has been recognized by Super Lawyers (2015, 2016) and as a “Best Lawyer” by U.S. News and World Report (2015, 2016, 2017).
Ms. Onel joins KKB from the law firm of K&L Gates. She earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
