PLEASANT HILL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Easter Seals Bay Area (ESBA) has named Cynthia Riha as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In her new role, Cynthia will oversee ESBA’s clinical programs, quality control and People & Performance (HR) teams. She is a member of the executive management team and reports to President and CEO Susan Armiger. Prior to joining as COO, Riha served as a consultant to the organization.
ESBA has experienced significant growth over the past four years to meet the unprecedented demand for behavioral health service in Northern California. The organization currently averages nearly 80,000 client visits per month. To help support this growing demand, it has expanded its executive and senior leadership teams. Additional senior leadership hires over the past six months include:

- Camille Ferond, Vice President of Clinical Research and Development
- Wendy Grover Rebmann, Vice President of Corporate Communications
- Paul Meijer, Vice President of Cloud Operations
ESBA serves people with autism, developmental disabilities and special needs as well as their families in Northern California. ESBA set out to expand access and affordability of behavioral health services for people with autism and their families.
One in every 68 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism according to the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC). In response to the California Autism Insurance Law – SB 946 – passed in 2011, ESBA has partnered with health organizations, leading technology firms and businesses to meet the unprecedented demand for behavioral health service in Northern California.
