NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Joseph P. Truncale, Ph.D., CAE, chief executive officer of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) will be offering advice to strategic communications professionals during West Virginia University’s INTEGRATE Chicago conference. Truncale will present “The Adaptive Professional: A Look at the Rapidly Changing Requirements for the Public Relations/Strategic Communications Professional,” on Wednesday, Nov. 2 in Chicago.
Based on recent studies of thousands of public relations professionals working in a variety of settings and at various points in their careers, PRSA sought to identify how their role is changing. Truncale will offer insight into what organizations require of the public relations professional and how those skills integrate with other organizational operating units, as well as the skills that savvy professionals will add to their portfolio to ensure future relevance and enhance their ability to bring unique value to the stakeholders.

For the first time, West Virginia University’s INTEGRATE conference is traveling to the Midwest to provide professionals with the latest integrated marketing communications techniques and strategies. The conference will be held in The Loop, one of Chicago’s most vibrant neighborhoods featuring attractions for sightseers, foodies and night owls alike.
WVU Reed College of Media’s INTEGRATE Chicago will be held November 1-2 at Michigan Plaza and is hosted by the College’s online Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) graduate program. After the success of holding INTEGRATE in Washington, D.C., last fall, the IMC program decided to expand the conference from its usual home in Morgantown, West Virginia, and make it available to their Midwest market in Chicago.
INTEGRATE begins with a professional networking event the evening of Nov. 1, where attendees can meet peers from across the United States, and concludes at 4 p.m. on Nov. 2 with an agency tour of Energy BBDO after a day filled with top-level industry speakers.
