ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mobile Labs, a leading provider of enterprise-grade mobile app and web development and testing solutions, today announced it has been awarded a third patent relating to the deviceConnect™ mobile device cloud. The new patent joins two others the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has awarded Mobile Labs in the past year.

The three patents, Nos. 9,430,364, 9,195,574, and 9,189,378, recognize many of deviceConnect’s methods, systems, and physical structures for mobile app testing and device management in various forms. All three patents are titled, “Systems, methods, and apparatuses for testing mobile device applications.” Inventors named include Michael Ryan, CTO, Mackenzie Straight, Chief Architect, and Stephen Orlando, Director of Product Management.
Among other aspects, the patents describe mobile device cloud hardware topology, including mobile application testing system concepts, an architecture supporting users, servers, and mobile devices, physical enclosures, and specifics of the mobile app testing process. Device cloud management is described, including management servers, automation test requests, platform-agnostic app testing commands, and translating a common, agnostic set of objects to platform-specific objects (e. g. iOS, Android). Also described is Mobile Labs’ deviceAgent™ software that manages app testing on mobile devices.
Mobile Labs also announces that it has filed a provisional patent application for technology imbedded in its deviceBridge™ add-on to deviceConnect. deviceBridge makes it possible to use cloud-based mobile devices with development, support, and testing tools that ordinarily use smartphones or tablets physically cabled to an engineer’s workstation. For example, developers using Apple’s Xcode can transparently choose between devices attached to the workstation and remote devices in the cloud for developing, checkout, and debugging.
