LIVONIA, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Valassis, a leader in intelligent media delivery, has appointed Greg Green as the company’s first Chief Data and Analytics Officer. In this role, he will drive the company’s data strategy, vision and execution, serving clients’ interests about data, insights and analytics.

Fluent in applying data science to business applications and driving revenue, Green possesses nearly 25 years of industry experience. He brings to the role a unique combination of expertise across disciplines including data management, consumer analytics, marketing technology, sales operations and product development. Green is the founder and CEO of FourThirds, LLC, an analytics and consulting firm to agencies and clients in the marketing services and media space. He is also an adjunct faculty member in Northwestern University’s Integrated Marketing Communications program where he has taught graduate-level marketing analytics classes.
Green drove sales productivity using data science and improved the value proposition for advertising agencies through product and technology development in key leadership roles at Google. In his role at Digitas/ Publicis Groupe Media, he designed an analytics technology strategy and patented an innovative, cloud-based, media analytics platform for cross-channel marketing performance while also managing key media and technology partnerships.
He received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree in statistics from Michigan State University. Green also holds a doctorate in mathematics from Claremont Graduate University in California.
Furthering the strength of its data and analytics expertise, Valassis recently announced the appointment of Rebecca Schlachter, Valassis Digital executive director, data and analytics, to the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Data Center of Excellence Board. The Data Center of Excellence is an independently funded and staffed unit within IAB founded to drive the data agenda for the digital media, marketing and advertising industry.
