Ryan Patel, Former Pinkberry Executive, Joins Technology Company Communities for Cause’s Restaurant Industry Advisory Board

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--()--Communities for Cause, Inc. (CFC) is excited to announce restaurant industry global executive, Ryan Patel, who most recently served as Vice President of Global Development for Pinkberry, one of the fastest growing retail brands in the world, has joined its Restaurant Industry Advisory Board.

A seasoned executive at some of the world's most innovative companies including Pinkberry, Wet Seal, Jamba Juice, BJ's Restaurants, and Panda Express, Ryan brings a wealth of experience to help guide CFC’s mission to transform the restaurant industry’s $3B in annual charitable giving practices.

CFC’s existing ENGAGE MOBILE platform features businesses willing to donate a percentage of sales to their customers’ nonprofits of choice via a mobile app whenever the customer shops or dines with the business. In return, nonprofits market the platform to their supporters and encourage their patronage at CFC businesses. The company recently launched an industry-first Online GiveBack Scheduler connecting participating restaurants with hundreds of nonprofits seeking to schedule giveback events. The Online Scheduler will serve as a clearinghouse facilitating the rapid scheduling and management of giveback events across the country.

“I’m very excited about the opportunity to help CFC scale its industry platform,” comments Ryan Patel. “The company is creating a massive dual-sided network of restaurants and nonprofits across the country with the ultimate aim of enhancing the nonprofit industry’s fundraising capabilities and creating another source of highly-loyal, incredibly profitable customers for the restaurant industry."

As Gary Allhusen, CEO, describes, “Ryan’s addition to our team further validates our strategy and enhances our ability to accelerate the platform’s rollout nationally. I’m very excited about this new phase of our business growth. It’s not often that one finds a place to apply a totally unique technology to a largely manual process and demonstrate significant value to an industry. I’m most excited by the fact that we’ve demonstrated a 23% lift in restaurant sales from our supporters compared to a restaurant’s average ticket. We have an incredible platform providing huge benefits to all our constituents. The company’s five-year plan involves driving close to $7B in restaurant industry sales resulting in over $700M in charitable donations.”
