Chicken of the Sea Leads October 8 Celebration of “National Salmon Day”

WHAT:

The second annual celebration of National Salmon Day – an official national holiday to commemorate the taste, nutrition and convenience benefits of wild and packaged salmon.

 

HAPPENINGS:

#NationalSalmonDay Twitter Party on Friday, Oct. 7, 1-2 pm ET Chicken of the Sea is partnering with prominent blogger, Andie Mitchell of AndieMitchell.com, for a one-hour Twitter Party and virtual celebration to kick-off the holiday. Participants who tag #NationalSalmonDay and #Sweeps can win salmon products and other prizes.

 

Enter the Salmon Loves Rice Sweepstakes Participants can enter until October 8, 2016 by posting the hashtag #NationalSalmonDay with an optional comment or photo on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. One (1) Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected to receive a seven-day cruise to Alaska for two (2) people.

 

Christening the “Top 10 Salmon Cities” Chicken of the Sea conducted an internal analysis to identify cities where local residents that eat more fresh and shelf-stable salmon per person than their counterparts in other U.S. cities. The full list includes: Anchorage Baltimore, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Nashville, New York City, San Diego, Seattle, and Washington D.C.
