SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Global 50 law firm Goodwin announced today that Veronica McGregor has joined the firm’s San Francisco office as a partner in the Financial Industry and FinTech practices. With particular expertise in the banking and consumer financial services sectors, McGregor brings to Goodwin extensive experience across all aspects of the payments and consumer lending landscape, including the emerging FinTech area.

McGregor focuses on a wide range of financial services matters and advises a broad array of companies, including banks, payment system providers, wireless carriers, gaming developers, virtual property trading platforms, online and physical retailers, social networking companies, online service providers and software application developers. She also has broad experience with consumer financial protection laws and regulations, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and state and federal licensing and registration schemes.

McGregor is active in the American Bar Association, currently serving as vice-chair of the Consumer Financial Services Committee and chair of the Electronic Financial Services Subcommittee. She also serves on the Editorial Board of FinTech Law Report.
