STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Waypoint Residential, a vertically integrated real estate company specializing in multifamily properties, today announced the appointment of two senior executives, Peter DiCorpo and Ed Ryder, to support the firm’s significant growth and geographic expansion.
Mr. DiCorpo has been named Chief Operating Officer and will oversee Waypoint’s finance activities. Mr. Ryder, based in Waypoint’s Chicago office, has been named a Senior Managing Director and is responsible for investment activity in the Midwestern and Western regions as well as national oversight for various portfolio management functions. The firm’s real estate portfolio has grown significantly since its inception five years ago, with over 60 transactions completed with gross asset value of over $1.8 billion

Mr. DiCorpo has 22 years of experience in real estate across all sectors and has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to driving organizational improvements. Most recently, Mr. DiCorpo was the President of the U.S. Core Investment Platform for CBRE Global Investors, where he oversaw the firm's $10.2 billion core investment business in the United States. Prior to that, he was the firm's Chief Operating Officer and oversaw their operations in the UK and Europe. He began his real estate career at AIG Global Real Estate, where he served in a number of roles including Chief Administration Officer. Mr. DiCorpo holds a B.A. cum laude from Colgate University, a Masters in Professional Accounting from the University of Hartford and an M.B.A from New York University Stern School of Business. He is the incoming chairman of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers.

Mr. Ryder has over 24 years of experience in real estate. Most recently, Mr. Ryder spent 18 years with Pearlmark Real Estate Partners (formerly Transwestern Investment Co.) where he invested in both multifamily and office properties nationwide. He previously spent 10 years in commercial and investment banking, including six years providing financing and advisory services to publicly traded REITs while at Merrill Lynch & Co and EVEREN Securities (formerly Kemper Securities). Mr. Ryder received a B.A in Finance from the University of South Florida and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago.
