United Way Make the Month Day Challenges Calgarians to Overcome Poverty

Can You Make the Month?

CALGARY, Alberta--()--United Way of Calgary and Area is inviting Calgarians to take part in national Make the Month Day on October 6. On this day, Canadians are encouraged take part in the United Way online poverty simulation to face the challenges that many people are forced to try to overcome on a daily basis.

Here in Calgary, one in 10 Calgarians live in poverty and are forced to make tough decisions, like whether to pay for rent or groceries. The Make the Month online poverty simulation will challenge individuals to try to make the month, share their results, learn more about poverty in our city and get involved by donating to United Way.

I am Calgary. You are Calgary. We are all Calgary. Tell us how you're making this city great on national Make the Month Day with #makethemonth and #united4yyc.
