IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At the 2016 Vizient Clinical Connections Summit, held September 28-30 in Dallas, Vizient, Inc. presented Medical University of South Carolina and UF Health Jacksonville with its 2016 Innovation Excellence Award. This is the first time the award has been presented. The annual event for Vizient members drew more than 2,200 attendees which included health care professionals from 350 member hospitals and health systems.
The Vizient Innovation Excellence Award was designed to recognize member health care organizations that are developing or adopting innovative technology solutions that have enhanced or changed their care delivery models or efficiencies. Submissions were judged by a panel of innovation industry leaders on desirability, feasibility and viability of the solution in the general marketplace.
