“Workplace happiness is the key to success for both employers and employees. Our career community made up of thousands of employees leave reviews ranking how happy they are at work, their salary information and insight into their work culture,” says Heidi Golledge, Chief Happiness Officer and Co-founder of CareerBliss. “We take this data and build our comprehensive annual 50 Happiest Companies list.”

Unlike many other awards, the CareerBliss 50 Happiest Companies in America is a non-paid, employee driven award, that is calculated from individual independent employee reviews.

“Many awards are offered to companies that pay to be a part of the submission process, but that’s not the case here at CareerBliss. We are dedicated to ensuring that this recognition is based solely on employee reviews,” says Golledge.

How CareerBliss Evaluates Happiness at Work

CareerBliss’ data evaluates the key factors that impact employee happiness at work, including: One’s relationship with management and the company’s CEO, compensation, workplace environment, growth opportunities, satisfaction with job role, and one’s overall workplace setting. The results are generated from CareerBliss.com’s employee reviews and serve to provide insight into workplace satisfaction. All reviews are ranked on a scale of 1-5.

“2017 is set to be a big year for employees, with the presidential election, growth of a multi-generational workforce and the continued emergence of technology streamlining how we work, it is important for us to analyze the companies that are committed to fostering happiness and help those looking for jobs pick the happiest companies,” continues Golledge.

The final date for all submissions is November 21, 2016.
