Performance Horizon Participates in St Oswald’s Great North Snowdogs Trail 2016

Newcastle company sponsors Great North Snowdogs sculptures in support of St Oswald’s Children’s Hospice

NEWCASTLE, United Kingdom--()--Performance Horizon, the global leader in digital partner marketing, has joined other local businesses to support this year’s Great North Snowdogs, an interactive public art event and fundraiser organised by St Oswald’s Children’s Hospice, in conjunction with Wild in Art, that opened to the public on Monday 19 September.

Newcastle-based St Oswald’s Hospice provides specialist care to North East children and young adults with incurable conditions. The Great North Snowdogs Trail is an event that spans the North East’s streets, parks and open spaces and features Snowdogs sculptures inspired by the much loved animated short film, The Snowman™ and The Snowdog and individually designed by both well-known and undiscovered artists.

“St Oswald’s has provided care and support for North East families for more than 30 years, and we couldn’t be happier to back such a deserving local charity,” said Paul Fellows, COO and co-founder, Performance Horizon.

As a key supporter of the Great North Snowdogs, Performance Horizon has sponsored one of the 61 large scale Snowdogs sculptures as well as a ‘a litter’ of three smaller pups. Performance Horizon’s large dog ‘Mojo’ can be found on the trail in Gateshead Metro Station and was designed by Sumit Sarkar (aka KrikSix), a visual artist based in the North West of England.

“The Snowdogs’ artists, sponsors and local community have made this special event possible, and we’re honoured to have businesses with roots in the community like Performance Horizon participating and supporting our efforts and mission,” said Jane Hogan, Great North Snowdogs Project Lead.

The Great North Snowdogs will be on show for 10 weeks from September 2016, in locations across Tyne and Wear. They will be joined by a pack of little Snowdogs sculptures designed by local school children. At the end of the event, the large-scale Great North Snowdogs sculptures will be auctioned off and the money raised donated to St Oswald’s Children’s Hospice.
