LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Only 22% of UK online shops that ship goods, quote international delivery as a service upfront, thereby excluding themselves from a $1.9 trillion global market*, according to a new research report by eCommerce search engine, SalesOptimize. The report “eCommerce Market Report, Shipping Companies UK & Ireland” is based on an analysis of over 182,000 UK & Irish retailers that sell goods online which is one of the biggest analysis of its kind ever undertaken.
“By not having or not stating the facility to ship overseas, UK eCommerce retailers are restricting themselves from a rapidly growing global eCommerce market worth an estimated $1.9 trillion,” commented SalesOptimize CEO & co-founder, Liz Fulham.
SalesOptimize recently launched a Business to Business (B2B) market intelligence and sales lead generation platform. Using deep web analytics, the service generates sales leads for B2B companies selling their products or services to online shops. To date SalesOptimize has identified over 1.7m global online shops across 20 countries.
What makes this platform unique is the ease at which shipping companies, among others, can download a list of their competitors’ eCommerce customers. This is a first.
The SalesOptimize service, which scooped the “Best Sales Strategy Product or Service” award at the prestigious 2016 Sales Innovation Expo in London, has attracted a lot of interest amongst sales and marketing professionals in the shipping and logistics sector as it identifies the world’s top online shops, including contact details and current shippers. Intelligence which lists the shipping companies used by online retailers enables shippers to target new market opportunities.
