Jeremy Traska Joins Academy Securities as Director in Debt Capital Markets

NEW YORK--()--Academy Securities, a registered broker-dealer certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), today announced the addition of Jeremy Traska as a Director in Debt Capital Markets. At Academy, Mr. Traska’s areas of concentration will include global power, utilities, energy and structured products.

Mr. Traska brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent the last 22 years in the financial services industry, including senior management leadership positions in investment grade and high yield capital markets and research with a focus on the power, utility, energy and chemicals sectors.

Mr. Traska joins Academy after spending over four years at Drexel Hamilton, where he was a Director in Capital Markets. “We are pleased to have such an experienced and well respected industry professional join our team,” stated Chance Mims, CEO of Academy Securities. “Jeremy’s expertise and deep knowledge of debt capital markets, particularly in the energy sector, will further strengthen our ability to provide our clients with the highest quality of service and execution.”

Prior to working at Drexel Hamilton, Mr. Traska worked at firms such as Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Cohen & Steers and Oppenheimer & Co. with responsibilities ranging from capital markets and advisory to investment grade and high yield credit research.

Mr. Traska is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He is active in several veteran causes and serves in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
