Companies Partner to Create and Deliver Exciting Content in a New Medium

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--()--Tastemade Inc. and Jaunt Studios have partnered to create a virtual reality (VR) travel experience: A Perfect Day in Los Angeles. With the help of VR, Ryan Seacrest, Conan O’Brien, and tastemakers Jax Tranchida, Carlo Alberto Orecchia, Julie Nolke, Katie Quinn, and Jimmy Wong, viewers get an all-access tour of the city of Los Angeles. This group of LA-insiders bring the city’s most delightful secrets and world-famous attractions straight to the viewers. The piece is live in the Jaunt VR App now.

As two well-known experiential brands in food, travel and lifestyle, Jaunt and Tastemade came together on the experience to transport viewers to places in the City of Angels they have always wanted to go. Filmed with the Jaunt ONE camera, the high-quality, cinematic VR experience brings unprecedented access to some of the city’s most iconic sites. The piece was created in conjunction with LA24.org, the committee bidding to host the 2024 Olympic Games, which helped Tastemade and Jaunt bring the best of Los Angeles to life as a diverse, vibrant location unlike any other.

A Perfect Day in Los Angeles kicks things off in-studio with Ryan Seacrest before heading to a hidden water hole in Malibu and cruising by Stan’s Donuts for some sugar-filled fuel. Next, they’ll have the chance to take the field with the LA Galaxy soccer team and ride the infamous Jaws ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. The experience ends the way a perfect day in LA should: at the beach, listening to the waves crash and watching the sunset - and a quick dose of in-studio banter between Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter with the age-old debate: how much of “LA” is really LA?
