Western Dental Names Kathy Spengler New Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management

ORANGE, Calif.--()--Western Dental & Orthodontics, one of the nation’s leaders in accessible, affordable, high-quality oral health care, today announced the appointment of Kathy Spengler as its Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management.

Spengler, who joined Western Dental on September 6, has nearly 20 years of experience in the dental profession.

During her dental career, Spengler has filled numerous roles, from dental assistant to office manager. She ultimately led all aspects of revenue cycle management for several companies, where her role included third-party collections, vendor management, patient billing, scheduling and help desk contact centers, insurance administration, credentialing, systems support, patient service, provider support and business analysis.

“Kathy is going to be a tremendous addition to the Western Dental management team,” said Daniel D. Crowley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Western Dental and its affiliate, Brident Dental & Orthodontics. “She brings a strong project management orientation to her work and is very detailed in her approach. Before arriving at Western Dental, Spengler spent four years with North American Dental Group, a Dental Service Organization (DSO) that contracts with dental practices to provide critical business management and support, including non-clinical operations. She served as Director, Revenue Cycle & Patient Service Center, where she helped build central business teams and systems while leading multiple strategic projects.

A native of Akron, Ohio, Spengler previously worked 15 years in multiple positions with DentalOne Partners, one of the nation’s largest dental service management organizations. As Director, Revenue Cycle Services, she led multiple strategic revenue cycle projects, and was involved in planning, budgeting, tracking and weekly status as part of the executive team.
