The TJX Companies, Inc. Prices $1.0 Billion Notes Offering

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--()--The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TJX), the leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide, today announced the pricing of the public offering of $1.0 billion aggregate principal amount of notes due 2026. The notes will bear interest at a rate of 2.250% per annum, beginning September 12, 2016. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the sale of the notes to redeem the Company’s $375 million aggregate principal amount 6.950% notes due April 15, 2019 and to use the remainder of the net proceeds for working capital and other general corporate purposes. The notes are expected to settle on September 12, 2016, subject to customary closing conditions.
