ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)TM mourns the passing of John Hollands, who spent five decades in the consumer technology sector with such innovative companies as Westinghouse and Sony, and served on CTA’s Board of Directors and as Chair of the Audio Division in 1978 and 1979. “Whether representing Sony Corporation as an executive leader or chairing our Audio Division, John served our industry admirably. He helped CES, our association and the entire sector move forward during his years on our Board of Directors.
“From working at Westinghouse in the 1950s to helping lead Sony in the 1990s, John was there supporting and driving the consumer tech industry’s remarkable growth. He will be missed.”
