Since 1925, American Legion Baseball has been woven into the fabric of the nation. More than 70,000 athletes a year participate on teams in all 50 states, learning the importance of sportsmanship, good health and active citizenship. Many of Major League Baseball’s most notable players – Alex Gordon, Greg Maddux, Albert Pujols, Ryne Sandberg, Don Mattingly and many more – came of age playing Legion ball in the summer, and many say that Legion Baseball showed them the right way to compete and present themselves both on and off the field.
