Growth Continues: Cartasite Announces Product and Engineering New Hires

DENVER--()--Cartasite, a leading provider of wireless sensing technologies that help businesses proactively adapt to change, today announces significant growth to its engineering and product teams. The new hires represent a combined 80+ years of deep and varied experience across the lifecycle of product development.

Wes Felteau’s more than 20 years' experience in engineering and product development will inform his role as Cartasite's Director of Platform Products. He most recently served as Director, Emerging Technologies at Sphero where he provided technical and product leadership in the creation of the Sphero platform including the award-winning BB-8 robot. Wes holds responsibility for managing the entire Cartasite product lifecycle.

"After many years and many, many miles as a commuter, Cartasite’s vision of creating safer roads using an IOT solution resonates with me," commented Wes. "Given the current Pokémon Go craze, it’s pretty obvious that gamification of geo-based solutions and user experiences are ripe for innovation, and that is just the type of challenge that inspires me."

Becky Gibbs comes to Cartasite with over five years in software product management for oil and gas software engineering products and a degree in chemical and petroleum engineering. In her role as Sr. Product Manager, Becky will lead all aspects of product management and development of Cartasite solutions for the oil and gas markets.

As Scrum Master, Mike Wille will lead Cartasite's Agile product development process. Having started his career as a Software Engineer, Mike brings his ten years' combined experience in both Agile and traditional project management as well as software development to his Agile coaching approach.

"The possibilities are limitless as we embrace a development process that puts the customer first and allows rapid release of new products, features, and services," added Mike. "I'm excited to be part of a growing team that can adapt and innovate as new ideas, challenges, and opportunities arise."

With nearly 20 years of experience, Maria Ingemarson brings advanced expertise in QA analysis, engineering, and testing to her role as Lead Quality Assurance Engineer. Maria previously held roles at Starz Entertainment, Oppenheimer Funds, Payfone, Merck, and Roche Pharmaceuticals. She will direct Cartasite's internal quality assurance efforts throughout the software development and application operational lifecycle.

Deborah Diaz, with several years' experience as a front-end developer, web developer, and UX designer, joins the team in the role of User Interface Engineer. In her most recent role as UX Designer for Binbit, she designed user interfaces and prototypes for GlobalMovie's website and SmartTV app and WAP portals for MAXIM, FC Barcelona, and Universal Music.

Laura Thompson joins as Sr. Software Engineer and brings with her more than two decades' experience as a software engineer and architect in a wide range of vertical markets. Laura's recent projects include the development of an automated hydroponics system for controlled environment agriculture, invention and design of a system for communication between a touchscreen and an electronic device solely through physical contact, and development/deployment of a virtualized cloud infrastructure supporting synchronization between desktop databases.

2016 has been a year of significant growth for Cartasite, the new hires in Product and Engineering follow the leadership hires in Sales and Marketing, and the equity funding investment announced earlier this year.
