U.S. District Court Awards Over $600,000 in Costs to Silver Spring Networks in Patent Suit

SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--Silver Spring Networks, Inc. (NYSE:SSNI) today announced that the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas has awarded Silver Spring Networks $614,150.70 in costs, to be paid by EON Corp. IP Holdings, LLC. The order follows the decision of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit reversing a judgment from the District Court in Texas regarding patent claims covering wireless communication. Silver Spring Networks, as the prevailing party, is entitled to recovery of certain costs under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
