GEICO announces $2,500 Achievement Award recipients

WASHINGTON--()--GEICO presented 39 deserving college and university students from across the country with $2,500 GEICO Achievement Awards for their outstanding academic accomplishments and campus leadership.

A complete list of this year's winners is posted on the GEICO Achievement Award Program page.

The GEICO Achievement Award program was created more than 25 years ago to recognize undergraduate students who have excelled both inside and outside of the classroom. Award recipients demonstrate a dedication to academic success, leadership and community service. GEICO presents awards to exceptional students to help lighten the financial burden of tuition, room and board, books, meal plans, and other school-related expenses.

"The $2,500 GEICO Achievement Awards will help encourage continued success for these students," said GEICO President and COO Bill Roberts. "We know they have the potential to become the next generation of business and community leaders. We wish them the best of luck in pursuing their dreams and goals."

To be eligible for the GEICO Achievement Award Program, students must be currently enrolled full-time in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited four-year college or university, possess sophomore or junior status, have at least a 3.0 overall GPA, and be majoring in business, computer science, mathematics or a related program.
