Talend Selected by Univadis® to Support Market Expansion

Data Integration Platform Helps Optimize Content Management and Strengthen User Authentication for the World's First Healthcare Information Portal

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--()--Talend, a global leader in big data and cloud integration solutions, announced that Univadis, an information portal dedicated to healthcare professionals present in 90 countries and in more than 20 languages, which was recently acquired by Aptus Health, has implemented Talend Data Fabric to optimize its integration of multi-lingual content and enhance user access security. Eulidia, a Talend Platinum partner, piloted the deployment implementation and configuration.

“We started a modernization of our technology platform because we were faced with the increasing obsolescence of our old data integration solution. Our need was to integrate hundreds of new records published daily on Univadis in more than 20 languages from over 50 different partners worldwide. At the same time, we wanted to expand our international presence from a dozen countries to 90,” said Benoît Masson, vice president of global HCP engineering at Univadis. “This posed a substantial technical and organizational challenge that required Talend’s solution. Moreover, a partner like Talend could also support an overhaul of our technology architecture."

Talend Data Fabric enabled Univadis to standardize and automate the importing of content while maintaining an overview of jobs. Talend’s solution proved ideal for connecting various tools and securely managing user authentication, while also simplifying the portal’s development architecture, managing information and monitoring deployments.

Univadis has already experienced several benefits from implementing Talend, including greater system reliability and simplified deployment, management and flexibility. Univadis is now able, through its analysis, to think about further monetization of its content. Finally, to decision-making, Univadis is planning to develop data warehouses and a data mart dedicated to analyzing deeper aspects of the business. Talend is also at the heart of these new projects.

“Univadis is a great example of how Talend's data integration solutions are a great fit for the healthcare market and institutions that need to assimilate data from multiple systems with varied levels of sophistication, accessibility, transparency and quality,” François Mero, senior vice president of sales, EMEA at Talend. “By combining all aspects of data processing and quality, Talend enables organizations like Univadis to gain the performance and agility needed to respond to both customer needs and emerging business challenges.”
