Centrify Strengthens Executive Team with Appointment of Chief Marketing Officer

Rhonda Shantz, award winning marketing executive, brings depth of experience to lead Centrify to next stage of growth

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--Centrify, the leader in securing enterprise identities against cyberthreats, today announced that Rhonda Shantz has been appointed as chief marketing officer. Shantz brings more than two decades of tech-sector leadership to the Centrify team, having served as vice president of global marketing for Symantec, and most recently as vice president of marketing at Rocket Fuel, a leading programmatic marketing platform provider that is defining the next wave of data-driven marketing.

“Rhonda is a seasoned security veteran with deep expertise in the industry who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Centrify team,” said Tom Kemp, CEO of Centrify. “Centrify is at an important juncture, with increased customer adoption and strong industry recognition. Our next phase of growth will focus on brand acceleration, and with Rhonda’s proven track record developing first class enterprise marketing practices, she is a welcome addition to our team."

Shantz is a highly innovative enterprise marketing professional. While at Rocket Fuel, she launched a brand refresh around Moment Scoring™ and a narrative around “Marketing in the Moment” to better differentiate the company in the crowded marketing technology category. She also introduced the Rocket Fuel 1000 account strategy to better align marketing to sales goals and a content strategy based on personas to more effectively engage with influencers from CMO level to media buyers leading to higher quality demand generation.

Previously, in her leadership role at Symantec, Shantz galvanized a strategy around cybercrime that reinvented the Norton brand, grew market share, and made an emotional imprint with customers. Her marketing expertise contributed to Norton being recognized by Forbes/Landor as a breakaway brand, and also garnered additional recognition with over 100 industry awards, including an Effie, Addy, Webby, Hugo Television, Event Marketer, Communication Arts, and many others. Shantz also held leadership positions at Hewlett Packard and Porter Novelli.

“As compromised credentials continue to be the leading attack vector, and as the number of identities and passwords explode in the enterprise, Centrify has set itself apart as a proven identity and access leader who can address identity for both end and privileged users,” said Shantz. “This is a very exciting time to join Centrify as it continues to win both customers and recognition as an industry front runner. I’m looking forward to working with the team and lending my experience to help Centrify drive its continued success.”
