UANI Mourns the Passing of Holocaust Survivor, Nobel Laureate, and Human Rights Advocate Elie Wiesel

NEW YORK--()--United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), the nonpartisan, not-for-profit advocacy organization known for its efforts to heighten awareness of the danger the Iranian regime poses to the world, mourns the passing of Holocaust survivor, Nobel laureate, and human rights advocate Elie Wiesel. Wiesel was a leading critic of the Iranian regime's nefarious behavior at home and abroad.

"UANI is deeply saddened by the loss of a dear friend and humanitarian Elie Wiesel," said UANI Chairman Senator Joseph I. Lieberman and UANI CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace. "His death comes only a day after the Iranian regime sponsored Quds Day, where American and Israeli flags were burned; the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) predicted that Israel would be wiped off the map in 25 years; and thousands of demonstrators pledged to support 'efforts aimed at eliminating the cancerous tumor of Israel as the noble cause of the Islamic Revolution.' Quds Day is a reminder that the world--in honor of Wiesel's life's work--must continue to say 'never again,' again and again to the Iranian regime."
