HONG KONG--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The organizers of the Quality Building Award (QBA) were honoured to receive The Honourable Mr LEUNG Chun Ying, GBM, GBS, JP, Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR, as the guest of honour at the QBA 2016 award presentation ceremony.
The QBA Grand Award Winners, Merit Winners, Finalists of QBA, and winner of the Quality Excellence Award were revealed at a ceremony on 24 June 2016 at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. Under the theme of New Horizons for Superiority, QBA 2016 received extremely competitive and admirable nominations.
The QBA Quality Excellence Award was presented to Hong Kong’s PMQ as the project exhibiting the most outstanding overall quality. The Quality Excellence Award is the most prestigious QBA distinction presented and is reserved for the best project among the QBA Grand Award Winners.
“The competition level and overall quality of nominations was terrific this year,” said QBA 2016 jury panel chairman, Sr HUI Siu Wai, JP. “The entries demonstrated an incredible level of dedication, planning, teamwork and execution that goes into these projects.”
“The Quality Building Award raised the benchmark and widened the quality spectrum for excellent construction projects in the Hong Kong building industry and beyond,” said QBA 2016 organising committee co-chairman, Cr CHUNG Koon Man.
“These awards highlight the dedication of skilled individuals and companies, and show just how much goes into creating an exemplary building,” added QBA 2016 organising committee co-chairman, Ir CHIN Chi Keung, Cyras. “It has been an honour and pleasure for all the committee members to take part in organising the 2016 QBA presentation.”
