ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EY has presented John Howe, President and CEO of Manna Pro Products, LLC, a manufacturer and marketer of animal nutrition and care products, with the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Award in the Central Midwest.
The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. An independent panel of judges selected Howe. The award was presented at a special gala event in Kansas City, MO on June 16.
Howe joined Manna Pro as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2001, and has served as the company’s CEO since 2008. Under Howe’s leadership, the company has grown substantially through acquisitions, a commitment to innovation and new product development, and expansion of retail distribution.
“I’m very passionate about building a team of high performers, a culture of winning, and bringing value to pet owners who count on and trust Manna Pro to help nurture their pets,” said Howe. “I envision Manna Pro as a dynamic market share leader in all 12 of our strategic product segments with an energized and passionate team of people who are focused on winning in the marketplace, giving back to their community, and enriching the lives of millions of pet owners, empowering them to nurture their animals with products that are innovative, safe, and effective. I’m very proud of Manna Pro’s relentless focus on innovation and new product development, which has led to the introduction of over 250 items and has been a big engine of our growth.”
Since 1986, EY has honored entrepreneurs whose ingenuity, spirit of innovation and discipline have propelled their companies’ success, invigorated their industries, and benefited their communities.
As a Central Midwest award winner, Howe is now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2016 national program. Winners will be announced in several categories in November.
