BEN Names Chris Karl, Senior Vice President, Global Client Services

Veteran Digital Media Executive Brings Extensive Client Service Experience to Drive Content Integration Standards

LOS ANGELES--()--The Branded Entertainment Network (BEN), the world’s leading marketplace for branded integration, celebrity content, and rights and music clearances, today announced it has named Chris Karl as Senior Vice President, Global Client Services. Based in New York City, Mr. Karl is responsible for client strategy and market development in BEN’s rapidly growing North American market. Mr. Karl joined the company in June 2016 and reports directly to Gary Shenk, Chief Executive Officer of BEN, a company privately owned by Bill Gates.

Mr. Karl joins BEN with more than 20 years of experience in digital media, sales, business development and product. He most recently served as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Market Development for Sonobi, a provider of the industry’s leading premium programmatic marketplace where he was tasked with bringing Sonobi’s marketing automation software suite to premium publishers, demand side platforms and media agencies. Prior to Sonobi, he was a Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales for MediaMath, a leading DSP/DMP media platform where he was responsible for leading a team of Enterprise level sales associates and ad tech consultants to implement a SAAS solution for integrated media planning and buying across all standard digital media channels (Display, Social, Mobile and Video).

In addition, Mr. Karl has served as a General Manager of business development roles where he had led sales teams at Yahoo!, MTV Networks, and Alloy Media. He has developed marketing solutions and custom products across all media channels including: print, broadcast, indoor/outdoor, digital and mobile, while working with the world’s largest marketers including Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Kraft, Pepsi, IBM, Ford, GM and Verizon. He is a long time IAB Member and voice of innovation within the digital community, frequently seen and heard on Advertising Week, Digiday, and OMMA trade panels and content sessions.

Ms. Karl holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Marketing from The University of New Hampshire.
