Weave Visual Analytics Secures $750,000 in Seed Financing Led by Breton Capitol Management

LOWELL, Mass.--()--Weave Visual Analytics, Inc. (WVA), provider of high-performance data visualization and analytic tools, today announced that it has secured $750,000 in seed financing. Led by Breton Capital Management with participation from the University of Massachusetts, angels and insiders, the company will use the financing to support the commercial development and product launch of Weave.

Mike Masterson, managing director of Breton Capital Management said, “Breton is pleased to lead this seed round with participation from the University of Massachusetts. The financing will enable the team to focus on the development and market launch of the first commercially supported version of Weave, which has been available as an open source product for the last few years.”

Having recently announced Weave 2.1, the commercially supported version of its popular open source data visualization and analysis platform, the company will continue to expand the offering. With more than 250,000 users worldwide, Weave is the most accessible and readily available data visualization and analytic tool available on the market.

“We’re pleased to have early investors such as the experienced team at Breton Capital, as well as the ongoing support of the University of Massachusetts leadership and the spin-out team from the Lowell campus,” said Howard Berke, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Weave Visual Analytics.

In support of its growth plan, the company intends to raise additional equity financing from institutional venture capital firms.
