Introducing The Roll by EyeEm for iOS 10: On Stage at WWDC 2016

Showcased at Apple’s WWDC 2016, The Roll is one of the first apps to integrate with Apple’s intelligent assistant

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Today, EyeEm announces The Roll for iOS 10, one of the first apps to integrate with Siri, Apple’s intelligent assistant. As showcased on stage at WWDC 2016, Apple’s worldwide developer conference, Siri will combine with The Roll to show you your best photos among thousands of categories.

The Roll was developed with idea of revolutionizing the way you organize and find your best photos. Powered by EyeEm Vision, The Roll automatically keywords every photo and assigns each an aesthetic score from 1 to 100. In just four weeks, The Roll has already analyzed over 800 million photos.

“With The Roll, we aim to enable anyone to recognize their talent and do more with photography,” said EyeEm Co-founder and CEO Florian Meissner. “And with over 65% of smartphone users already using voice assistants¹, we look forward to helping users find their best photos faster and simpler with the help of Siri.”

EyeEm was chosen as one of the first third-party developers to integrate Siri into its standalone app, The Roll. Featuring a smarter Siri, iOS 10 makes finding your best photos as easy as a one-line voice command: ‘Hey Siri, show me my best sunset photo from last summer on The Roll.’

“The way we use technology has become increasingly intuitive,” said EyeEm Chief Design Officer Frank Müller. “Implementing Siri into our existing app was seamless, and being able to simply ask Siri to bring up any photo you have in mind from The Roll is an incredibly exciting concept.”

The Roll for iOS 10 is set to roll out in the next few weeks. Download the current version exclusively on the App Store.
