Momentum Builds as Entrepreneurs are Eager to Explore International Franchise Expo in NYC June 16-18

Attendees to meet with executives from over 450 proven franchise opportunities

PARAMUS, N.J.--()--As franchising remains an increasingly viable business opportunity, prospective business owners and entrepreneurs from throughout the United States and around the globe are gearing up to meet face-to-face with representatives of top franchise brands at the industry’s biggest event June 16-18 at the Javits Center in New York City. According to the ADP National Franchise Report, last month franchising added more than 19,400 jobs, a number that will swell as a result of new entrepreneurs set to open small businesses after the International Franchise Expo.

The International Franchise Expo will kick off with a press conference and a ribbon cutting ceremony on at 9:45 a.m. on June 16 at the north concourse level of the Javits Center. During this time, representatives from the International Franchise Association, City Council, the Small Business Committee, and Marcus Lemonis will welcome guests to New York and the wide world of franchising. Immediately following the ribbon cutting, doors will open to thousands of entrepreneurs ready to get on the fast track to owning a small business by meeting face-to-face with high-level franchisor executives. Over the years, the expo has proven to be a life-changing event for a number of prospective investors.

“We heard about Pinot’s Palette at the franchise Expo in NYC with the idea that we wanted to buy a franchise. We didn’t know what kind or anything. We just tripped over Pinot’s Palette and thought what a great concept and fun little business,” said Reed Alewel, the current owner of Pinot’s Palette Henderson and Summerlin, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Throughout the weekend, expo-goers will have the opportunity to delve into an event designed to energize their entrepreneurial spirit. This year’s event will offer a look into the hottest trends in the franchise industry as attendees explore the vast emerging, international and mature franchise opportunities ranging from as little as $5,000 up to $1 million. Attendees can also take advantage of more than 70 free seminars and eleven in-depth workshops in addition to one-on-one consulting, financial discounts, and notable small business speakers such as “Shark Tank” winner Jason Hanson and Entrepreneur and host of The Profit, Marcus Lemonis.

“There simply isn’t an environment that better marries prospective entrepreneurs and the franchises themselves than the IFE. Those looking to be in a business for themselves but not by themselves should attend the expo, and see the world of opportunity that exists for franchise ownership,” said Tom Portesy, President and CEO of MFV Expositions. “The IFE always draws an exceptional crowd seeking to achieve financial freedom and change their lives through entrepreneurship. We are constantly looking to provide additional resources to our attendees as the show continues to grow in size.”

This year, attendees will have a chance to hear advice from Marcus Lemonis, the host of the hit reality show “The Profit,” who will deliver a keynote on Friday, June 17 at 10:15 a.m. Lemonis, one of the most sought-after small business and franchising experts, will also make appearances in a pop-up, completely functional replica of The Simple Greek, his new restaurant franchise brand set to open in over 20 major markets this year.

The IFE costs $10 to register in advance at $20 at the door, but people who register at www.IFEinfo.com and use promo code FPR2 can receive a complimentary pass.

The IFE is sponsored by the International Franchise Association (IFA) and assisted by the U.S. Department of Commerce/U.S. Commercial Service. The IFE is owned and operated by MFV Expositions, producers of shows in the United States, Mexico, Japan, the United Kingdom and Ireland. For more information visit www.IFEinfo.com.
