Yamaha Marine Group Hosts Summer Media Event in Baltimore

National Aquarium and Inner Harbor Take Center Stage for New Product Showcase

KENNESAW, Ga.--()--Yamaha Marine Group announced today that it will host a summer media event June 14-15 in Baltimore, a portion of which will be held in conjunction with the National Aquarium® on the evening of June 14. Yamaha Marine sponsors the National Aquarium with outboards for the organization’s 35-foot research vessel, which is dedicated specifically to shark research and sampling, as well as the restoration of wetlands in the area.

“In 2012 when the National Aquarium was in need of repowering our shark research vessel, the R/V Carcharhinus, we had a desire to put Yamaha power and reliability to work for our conservation field projects,” said Andrew Pulver, Curator of the Animal Care Center and Marine Operations, National Aquarium. “Yamaha has proven to be a great partner for us. Our marine operations team is now powered by a pair of 300HP outboards, which have served us reliably for the past four years.”

Twenty-five journalists will convene for a day of testing new boat and motor packages at the Harbor East Marina on June 15, which include Yamaha’s new F350C and the entire line of the new V MAX SHO® high performance outboards. Members of the media will also demo Helm Master®, Yamaha’s fully integrated boat control system, in twin and triple outboard configurations*. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to fish with Yamaha Pros and B.A.S.S. Elite Anglers Mike Iaconelli and Randall Tharp.
