CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SpringCM, the No. 1 global sales contract management solution for Salesforce customers, today announced the appointment of Salesforce veteran Dan Dal Degan to its Board of Directors to help accelerate the pace of innovation and guide the company’s rapid growth within the Salesforce ecosystem.
“With 30 years of experience leading technology companies, including 11 years during the hyper growth period at Salesforce, Dan is uniquely qualified to help take SpringCM to new market heights,” said Greg Buchholz, CEO of SpringCM. “Dan has a proven track record of building powerhouse companies and his expertise will help us continue to innovate new solutions that elevate our customers’ businesses.”
Dal Degan joined Salesforce as one of its first 100 employees when the company was doing less than $50 million in revenue. When he left, the company had more than 12,000 employees and over $4 billion in sales. During his time at Salesforce, Dal Degan started the central region and through his sales efforts was responsible for more than 15 percent of total worldwide bookings.
“In my 11 years at Salesforce in sales leadership, I saw SpringCM, in my hometown of Chicago, emerge as an increasingly relevant value-added partner in the fast-growing market for contract lifecycle management and enterprise-class content management,” Dal Degan said. “With category-leading solutions and significant traction in key industries such as public sector, financial services, consumer goods, healthcare, NFP and retail, SpringCM is now poised for a significant expansion in this vibrant CRM ecosystem. I'm very excited to join the experienced, talented team Greg Buchholz has assembled.”
In Dal Degan’s 30 years of experience, he has worked for or advised six companies, five of which eventually successfully IPO’d. Besides Salesforce, he has held positions at Oracle, Siebel Systems, Sybase, Ensighten, and Synchrony.
“Dal Degan’s operational experience in guiding rapid growth makes him a natural fit for SpringCM’s Board of Directors,” according to Skip Glass, SpringCM board member and partner at Foundation Capital. “He was successful very early at Salesforce and at Sybase, where he spent five years and a key contributor to both companies becoming multi-billion -dollar companies.”
Dal Degan holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He is active in the community, serving on the University of Illinois Chancellor’s Alumni Committee on Corporate Sponsorships, the Lazarus House Homeless Shelter in St. Charles, and the Cara Program fighting homelessness and poverty in Chicago.
