BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Connie Bayne, president, Mid-Atlantic Region, Business Insurance, Liberty Mutual, received a “2016 Top 15 Business Women Award” at the 7th annual Ohio Women’s Conference organized by the Ohio Diversity Council.
The award recognizes women who have reached the top of their profession, are respected and successful leaders, drive change, innovate and inspire others to succeed, and contribute to the growth and strategic direction of their organization.
The Award Committee reviewed online nominations and researched potential recipients to select the final award winners. The conference and award ceremony were held May 19th at the Kingsgate Marriott in Cincinnati.

Bayne received the award for her demonstrated leadership in both the insurance industry and the broader community. She was named president, Mid-Atlantic Region, Business Insurance, Liberty Mutual in July of 2014, and is responsible for commercial insurance sales to small and mid-size companies in Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Prior to that position, she served as senior vice president and manager of Commercial Insurance Underwriting Operations for Liberty Mutual Insurance. She also held senior positions in various underwriting, distribution and loss prevention operations at Liberty Mutual.
Bayne, who chaired the conference, serves as president of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Ohio Diversity Council, and won the National Diversity Council 2015 award for Most Powerful & Influential Women.
In addition to her work with the Ohio Diversity Council, Bayne manages Liberty Mutual’s Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Fairfield Council, which is dedicated to bringing local D&I programs to the Fairfield office. She is also involved with WE@Liberty, Liberty Mutual’s women and allies employee resource group.
