Imprivata Names Aaron Miri as Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Government Relations

Former CIO of Walnut Hill Medical Center “The Hospital Steve Jobs Would have Built” to Lead Vision and Execution of Information Technology at Imprivata

LEXINGTON, Mass.--()--Imprivata® (NYSE: IMPR), the healthcare IT security company, today announced the appointment of Aaron Miri to Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Government Relations.

Mr. Miri will be responsible for leading the vision, development, and implementation of information technology initiatives in support of Imprivata’s overall business plan and strategic vision. In addition, he will continue to be a thought leader in Healthcare IT security, helping to inform and drive public policy to ensure that cybersecurity and interoperability become a reality in healthcare. Mr. Miri has a wealth of experience leading Information Technology organizations supporting innovation in healthcare, most recently as CIO of Walnut Hill Medical Center, lauded by Forbes Magazine as the hospital that Steve Jobs would have built.

He is a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO) through the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), a distinguished Fellow with the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and he holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI). Under his leadership, Walnut Hill Medical Center was awarded HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 Certification, and recognized as a Best Hospital IT Department candidate by Healthcare IT News.
