Chicago Independent Extends New Business Run

CHICAGO--()--Independent advertising agency Trisect announced that it has been named advertising agency for the Chicago Bears. The decision came after year-end review in which more than 10 Chicago shops competed for the coveted account.

Commenting on the move, Bears Vice President of Communications Scott Hagel said, “We want a partner that can help us deepen fan engagement. Trisect brings a progressive approach that focuses on using technology to elevate the Bears experience in ways that appeal to our increasingly diverse fan base.”

Hagel says Trisect also stood out with a humorous “every day is game day” video sent to the Bears management the day before the final pitch that captured both the agency’s creativity and its commitment to clients.

Trisect jumped into its first assignment at the end of the past season and is now working closely with the Bears organization to lay the groundwork for the upcoming season. The agency will touch a wide range of activities including strategy, creative, digital/social, media and event marketing to support the team’s top goal of building greater connections with “casual” fans.

Hagel added, “While there is great interest in the Bears and tremendous demand for tickets, the team is always seeking new ways to show all of our fans they are valued and appreciated. We compete in a sports and entertainment market with shifting demographics and rapidly evolving media habits. We already feel great about what the Bears have to offer but through innovation we plan to take the fan experience to another level.”

Trisect has been scoring big with Chicago-area clients, adding six to its roster in the past six months. Founder and CEO Dick Thomas credits the agency’s “blended marketing” approach for its recent string of successes. “Marketers are under tremendous pressure to do more with less.
