New Entrust® IdentityGuard Virtual Appliance Provides Organizations with an Easy-to-Deploy, Turnkey Authentication Solution

Product enables organizations to defend against more frequent and sophisticated enterprise level cyberattacks, while decreasing costs and increasing productivity

MINNEAPOLIS--()--Entrust Datacard today announced the release of the Entrust IdentityGuard Virtual Appliance, which enables organizations to defend against more frequent and sophisticated enterprise level cyberattacks, while increasing productivity for IT management. The new, two-factor authentication solution offers organizations the ability to provide users with secure access to a broader array of services and applications.

The virtual appliance solution is packaged to provide enterprises with a turnkey solution that includes Entrust IdentityGuard authentication software, a hardened operating system, a database and installation wizards. This packaged solution eliminates the need for IT departments to design and configure their own system, which provides a simplified deployment experience for the IT management and the enterprise. In addition, the solution includes a self-service capability that enables users to manage authenticators at any time without the assistance of a help desk.

“With threat levels continuing to increase for businesses and mobile becoming the preferred way to access resources, it is important that organizations look for solutions that are secure, efficient and flexible enough to grow with the business,” said Ryan Zlockie, vice president of authentication for Entrust Datacard. “With the Entrust IdentityGuard Virtual Appliance, enterprises have access to a simple to deploy solution that offers a broad range of authentication capabilities, including mobile push notifications – one of the most secure and convenient authentication methods available.”

The addition of the virtual appliance helps to round out the robust variety of authentication deployment options offered by Entrust Datacard, including:

  • IdentityGuard 11.0, the company’s longstanding authentication solution which enables organizations to manage and deploy a comprehensive range of unique capabilities; provide secure access to today’s leading online, cloud and mobile platforms; and provide transparency and a frictionless experience.
  • Entrust Authentication Service, a solution that leverages Entrust Datacard’s proven portfolio of strong authentication solutions in a cloud-based service.

“As we continue to expand our portfolio of authentication solutions, it’s important that we are able to provide our customers with the ability to choose the authentication deployment option that works best for their business,” added Zlockie.
