Intellicheck Mobilisa and Visualant Reach Exclusivity Agreement on Pioneering Next Gen Threat Identification Technology

Groundbreaking Technology Can Spot Explosives, Gunpowder Residue, Drugs, Fake IDs and Passports

JERICHO, N.Y.--()--Intellicheck Mobilisa, Inc. (NYSE MKT:IDN), a leader in threat identification, identity authentication, verification and validation solutions, and Visualant, Inc. (OTC: VSUL), a pioneer in ChromaID™ technology, today announced they have reached an agreement that provides Intellicheck the exclusive rights to Visualant’s latest, patented photonics innovations for threat assessment and document authentication for the homeland security, law enforcement and crime prevention markets. Visualant's proprietary Spectral Pattern Matching™ (SPM™) technology directs structured light onto a substance, through a liquid or gas, or off a surface, to capture a unique ChromaID signature. This signature is matched against a known library to identify and authenticate substances and their chemical makeup. This technology makes it possible to effectively conduct rapid, non-intrusive analyses in the field that now can only be performed by lab-based tests and other destructive or intrusive methods.

Intellicheck expects to develop a new line of threat identification products based upon this landmark technology. The Company believes this new technology will provide an unparalleled deterrent in halting domestic and international terrorism and illegal profit-making operations. The technology’s real-time analysis capabilities can instantly detect a wide array of substances and materials including explosives, gunpowder residue, illicit drugs, counterfeit currencies and counterfeit identification documents, such as passports. ChromaID can also be used to authenticate secured documents like passports, driver licenses and identity badges.

Visualant CEO, President and Founder Ron Erickson said, "We are very excited to partner with Intellicheck, an industry leading innovator in threat identification and identity authentication and validation. Our work on ChromaID opens the door for unprecedented new breakthroughs that could redefine the security paradigm. This agreement represents an important step in taking our ChromaID technology to the next level."

Once commercialized, the Company expects its new ChromaID-based products with their broad spectrum of anticipated applications across the Company's exclusive markets will be game-changers for a wide variety of clients who would benefit from this cutting-edge technology. "We believe this agreement will allow us to take the steps necessary to deliver a generational leap forward in threat identification by integrating ChromaID technology into our threat identification solutions. We see significant, far-reaching implications in addressing numerous high-priority domestic and international security challenges across every spectrum," said Dr. William Roof, CEO of Intellicheck.

Intellicheck Mobilisa's significant portfolio of 25 patents includes many pertaining to threat identification and identification authentication technology. Its solutions support customers in the national defense, law enforcement, retail, hospitality and financial markets. The Company’s products scan, authenticate and analyze components of identity documents including driver licenses, military identification cards and other government forms of identification containing magnetic stripe, barcode and smart chip information. Once extracted from the identity card, the information can be used to conduct instant threat analysis and identification and to provide safety, security and efficiencies throughout these markets. Unlike competitive solutions that lack full regulatory compliance, the highest degree of data accuracy, and real-time search results capabilities on both mobile and existing fixed infrastructures, Intellicheck’s technology solutions are unique in their ability to provide accurate, real-time identification authentication and situational awareness that is fully regulatory compliant.
