PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News:
Viadeo (Paris:VIAD) (FR0010325241, VIAD, Euronext Paris), the French professional social network, is confirming its position as a key player on the French recruitment market by coopting Françoise Gri to chair its Board of Directors.
In line with the 2016-2018 strategic plan to relaunch Viadeo’s development, the Board of Directors decided during its meeting last Friday to appoint Françoise Gri, a leading figure from the employment sector in France, as its Chairwoman. She will replace William Melton, who has been interim chairman since December last year and will remain on as a director. Françoise Gri’s appointment will be submitted for approval by shareholders at the upcoming general meeting on 23 June 2016.
Ranked by US magazine Fortune as one of the world’s 50 most powerful businesswomen, Françoise Gri (graduate from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique et de Mathématiques Appliquées in Grenoble) has an outstanding track record as President of Manpower France and Southern Europe. Driven by employment and training issues, she has notably written two publications: “Plaidoyer pour un emploi responsable” and “Womenpower, femme et patron”. A member of France’s national corporate governance council (Haut Comité de Gouvernement d’Entreprise), Françoise Gri is a director of Edenred, Crédit Agricole SA and WNS Services. She is Chevalier de l'ordre national du Mérite et Chevalier de la légion d'Honneur.
Françoise Gri began her career in 1981 with the IBM group, where she held several executive sales and marketing positions for France, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She became Chairwoman and CEO of IBM France in 2001. In 2007, she joined the global temporary employment and recruitment group Manpower as President of Manpower France, and her responsibilities were extended to include Southern Europe in 2011. In 2013, Françoise Gri was appointed CEO of Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs. In 2015, she set up the consultancy Françoise Gri Conseil to support her peers, France’s top business leaders, with their digital transformation and development strategies.
Françoise Gri will work hand-in-hand with the Board of Directors, Renier Lemmens, the new CEO, and his team on the implementation of the strategic plan to relaunch Viadeo’s development, further strengthening its position as a key player for recruitment on the French market, which is undergoing a major digital transformation.
