New Jersey’s Business Services Wins PTI Technology Solution Award

TRENTON, N.J.--()--The New Jersey Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services is being recognized for its outstanding online business services that have simplified processes and increased efficiencies. Both the Integrated Business Records Online service and the Online Business Formations and Registrations service have won the Public Technology Institute (PTI) Technology Solution Award. The Technology Solution Award recognizes those governmental entities that demonstrate how they use technology to solve specific problems, including improving community service, streamlining internal operations and reducing costs.

“The Business Records Service and Business Formation and Registration service represent just two examples of how the Division is streamlining processes and making government more accessible,” said James J. Fruscione, Director of the Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services. “It is the Division’s goal to continue our efforts in making New Jersey a business-friendly State by providing more online services that allow users to transact business with the State 24/7.”

The Online Business Formation and Registration service assists users with creating a new business in New Jersey. It integrates multiple agencies into one efficient service that allows users to form their business, register for Employer Wage Reporting, Unemployment Compensation and Temporary Disability insurance, and most State taxes. Its user-friendly features guide the user through the process, providing help along the way with tool tips. Additionally, users can immediately download their official documents at the end of the transaction, including the Formation document and the Sales Tax Certificate of Authority.

The Integrated Business Records Service (BRS) provides a convenient one-stop shop for ordering and receiving business documents. Documents available through the site include:

  • Standing Certificates (Short Form, Long Form with Officers and Long Form with Filing History)
  • Business Entity Status Reports
  • Business Entity certified and non-certified documents (i.e. Formation, Amendments, etc.)
  • Business Entity Bulk List
  • Trade Name Status Reports
  • Trade Name Bulk List

The Integrated Business Records Service and the Online Business Formation and Registration Service were developed by the New Jersey Information Division of NICUSA, Inc., which is a vendor to the State of New Jersey. NICUSA, Inc. is not affiliated with the State of New Jersey, including the State’s Division of Taxation or Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services. The goal of the New Jersey Information Division of NICUSA, Inc. is to make government interactions more accessible through technology.
