Regions Bank Offers Consumer Relief Amid Flood Recovery in Louisiana and Mississippi

Financial services, deferred payments and individual assistance available to Regions customers

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--()--Regions Bank on Monday announced the company is offering a variety of financial services to help people in Louisiana and Mississippi who are working to recover from recent and ongoing floods. Special offers include:

  • Personal and business loan payment deferrals
  • Unsecured personal lines of credit to help with flood recovery
  • Penalty-free withdrawals from CDs
  • A dedicated team to assist Regions customers who are facing difficulties in making payments on credit cards, loans or lines of credit

“We are working harder than ever to make sure that when our customers need us, we are here for them,” said Lajuana Bradford, director of Corporate Social Responsibility for Regions Bank. “Several communities have been overwhelmed by flood waters, and many homeowners and businesses are facing a long road to recovery. By providing this assistance, we hope we can help make the recovery easier.”

Regions customers throughout Louisiana and Mississippi who have been affected by floods and are interested in any of these offers can visit their local Regions branch from March 21, 2016, through April 30, 2016, to sign up and receive complete details related to their individual needs.

“Our goal is to help people focus on what’s most important right now,” Bradford said. “Regions associates in Louisiana and Mississippi have seen first-hand the impact of these floods, and we stand with our friends, our neighbors and our communities as we work to recover together.”

Most Regions branches in Louisiana and Mississippi remain open or have reopened following the floods; only the Homer, La., branch remains temporarily closed. Customers who use the Homer facility can visit Regions branches in Minden, La., and other surrounding communities for assistance. Regions is working to reopen the Homer branch as soon as possible.

General account services are also available at any time via 1-800-REGIONS, regions.com and Regions’ mobile services.
