Deb Group Wins Innovation Challenge of the Campbell Institute

Deb Group’s “Fight Occupational Skin Disease” campaign named Best Overall Innovation

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--()--Deb Group, the world’s leading away-from-home skin care company, announced today that its “Fight Occupational Skin Disease” campaign was awarded the Best Overall Innovation by the Campbell Institute. The Innovation Challenge honors organizations for their achievement in the implementation of innovative programs that address key environmental, health and safety (EHS) topics.

“We’re honored to receive this prestigious award from the Campbell Institute,” said Isabelle Faivre, Vice President of Marketing, Deb North America. “The campaign reduces the incidence, cost and negative health impact of workplace skin disease, a commonly overlooked concern for many organizations. It is in line with Deb’s purpose to make hands matter in the workplace by implementing skin care programs that deliver essential products, vital information and standards of behavior which increase efficiency, improve skin health and prevent infection.”

Up to 40 percent of workers will suffer from occupational dermatitis at some point in their careers. Recognizing the significant negative impact and low overall awareness of occupational skin disorders, Deb Group developed the “Fight Occupational Skin Disease” campaign. It includes innovative products, education and training to reduce the incidence, severity and cost of workplace skin disorders.

“We applaud the Deb Group for their innovative approach to an under-addressed EHS issue,” said John Dony, Director of the Campbell Institute. “In addition to creating greater awareness of workplace skin disorders, we believe the campaign can serve as a model for solving similar EHS challenges.”

The Campbell Institute is the global center of EHS excellence at the National Safety Council. Built on the belief that EHS is at the core of business vitality and intrinsic to operational excellence and financial performance, the Institute helps organizations of all sizes and sectors achieve and sustain excellence.
