Zazoom Media Group Names Greg Morey as Executive Vice President of Revenue

Morey Joins from The E.W. Scripps Company, Newsy, Bringing Extensive Experience in Digital Operations to Drive ZMG’s Continued Growth

NEW YORK--()--Zazoom Media Group (ZMG), a leading digital video producer, announced today that it has named Greg Morey as Executive Vice President of Revenue. Morey, joins ZMG from The E.W. Scripps Company where he was a Vice President of Revenue for its Newsy brand. At ZMG, he will oversee development of new monetization platforms, including programmatic insertion of socially-driven content.

At E.W. Scripps, Morey was credited with leading the successful development of Newsy’s premium publisher network, enabling Newsy's programmatic monetization engines and programmatic ad delivery in Roku, Apple TV, Connected TV’s and terrestrial Television.

Prior to working for E.W. Scripps, Morey was the Director of Digital Operations for Tribune Broadcasting, where he was part of the team that separated the Digital Broadcast operations from the Digital Publishing operation. Morey innovated further by creating the Digital Marketing Services business, TRIB-X, enabling the broadcast group to offer SEO, SEM and Social channel development for their local TV clients. Morey shook things up by launching the “Ride Like a Rock Star” Sales Contest companywide where a brand new Mercedes-Benz was awarded to the seller of the largest deal. Fresh out of bankruptcy, that idea scared many at Tribune until it generated an 11-to-1 ROI.

Morey also held digital leadership roles with Gannett and Media General as well as entrepreneurial experience with three start-ups in syndication, Ad Hoc IP Networks, and Lifestyle Publishing.
