InterComputer Corporation Announces PrivateLine™ 1.0

Patented Solution Delivers Alternative to Risk-laden Web Browsers, Includes tMail™ Insured Secure Messaging

FULLERTON, Calif.--()--InterComputer Corporation announced today it is releasing PrivateLine 1.0, the company’s insured secure alternative to standard, risk-laden web access. The patented solution, which does not utilize dangerous https/ftps protocols, includes the new tMail messaging package, which delivers secure, real-time digital messaging including tChat and Contextual Chat.

“PrivateLine is the first of at least four new solutions built on InterComputer’s IC IOS, which is the insured secure technological foundation for digital interoperability in the 21st century,” said Scott M. Volmar, President and CEO of InterComputer Corporation. “The IC IOS enables solutions which deliver all of the power and ubiquity of the Internet without any of its inherent security risks. In addition to delivering tMail (Trusted Mail), PrivateLine also serves as the user interface access to PrivateSites™, standard office applications and mapped applications.”

“E-mail has never been private or safe for one overarching reason: it was never designed to be either,” added Michael Rowland, VP Marketing for InterComputer. “From the very beginning, the Internet was designed to make as much information available to as many people as possible. That ‘design DNA’ is the underlying reason cybercrime of all types continues to flourish. Every attempt to make the Internet more secure has been an afterthought, inadequate to overcome the Internet’s fundamental architectural flaws.”

“Our patented technologies, usable over a standard Internet connection, enable us to drive the risk in the system down to a residual level where we are able to obtain underwritten insurance coverage to protect all parties against cybercrime,” Volmar said. “This means that all users of insured InterComputer systems have coverage for residual cybercrime, including the full face amount of any transactions including third party liability.”

PrivateLine works on computer desktops, tablets, and smartphones, and includes tMail, tChat, and Contextual Chat, which are powerful tools for effective private communications. PrivateLine allows for the creation, utilization, and storage of native file format documents through popular applications like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, etc.

1. tMail (Trusted Mail) offers digital mail messages which look, feel, and function like common email but are sent securely through the IC IOS connection between PrivateLine users with no risk of compromise. Since these messages do not go through the email servers of the open Internet, they cannot be sniffed, intercepted, copied or spoofed. Companies cannot be spammed or infiltrated with deleterious messages or attachments. Some organizations have their own trusted email system behind their firewall. tMail provides a much higher level of secure messaging across organizational boundaries.

2. tChat (Trusted Chat) offers “instant messenger” textual functionality and optional archiving all within the insured secure IC IOS environment.

3. Contextual Chat functions as a full-context “instant messenger” application within the PrivateLine service. This feature operates in real-time or delayed mode with enterprise applications that have been mapped to the IC IOS. All chat content is archived and mapped to the documents users are discussing. This “in context” chat feature has already proven to dramatically increase the efficiency of decision making processes, problem resolution and purchase negotiations.

PrivateLine client companies provision employees with enhanced X.509v3 digital identity certificates and authority certificates (defining the nature and limits of what authorized employees can do) to access, change or otherwise exercise control over internal digital operations for all IC IOS-based solutions. Every message is guaranteed secure, fully auditable, and automatically compliant with all applicable policies and regulatory requirements.

“No one wants their digital communications to be compromised, but some industries have a deeply vested interest in maintaining the privacy and security of communications with their clients and within the company itself. Prime examples include the financial services and healthcare industries”, said Rowland. “PrivateLine with tMail delivers insured peace of mind to such users, along with huge financial, regulatory, and reputational cost reductions related to cybercrime.”
