Enterprise IT Event, SHARE in San Antonio, to Debut New Program

Feb. 28–March 4 event home to 500+ technical sessions on DevOps, IBM z13s, security and more.

CHICAGO--()--SHARE® in San Antonio, Feb. 28–March 4, will gather hundreds of enterprise IT professionals for leading, hands-on education that includes the brand-new SHARE Academy program. The event will also feature innovative keynotes from Juliet Funt, founder and CEO of WhiteSpace® at Work, and Patrick Gray, a current IT security consultant and former FBI special agent.

The debut of SHARE Academy will occur on Sunday, Feb. 28, and feature two educational tracks: Assembler Bootcamp and IMS Immersion. SHARE Academy has been carefully designed to support the need for immersive education that is offered in a digestible format on the hottest topics facing enterprise IT professionals today, and is led by expert instructors, with nearly 40 years of experience each.

“SHARE is excited to offer attendees a new opportunity to learn and grow outside of our already vast programming,” said James Vincent, SHARE president. “The caliber of instructors for these immersive sessions is truly impressive — and even includes past SHARE Best Session Award-winners, Michael Stack and John Ehrman.”

The SHARE in San Antonio full event will also feature a new educational track, DevOps in the Enterprise. The addition of this track is meant to offer helpful tools and tips to enterprise professionals on DevOps. The practices that are part of the DevOps movement continue to have an impact on the culture of SHARE Member organizations and beyond, and that trend is only going to grow.

“DevOps is a growing area for SHARE attendees and one that is vital to how they function day-to-day in their job roles,” explained Vincent. “Many of our attendees are looking for a better understanding of how DevOps may benefit them professionally and the volunteer team has rallied to provide over 15 influencer-led technical sessions to do just that.”

Additional education available as part of the SHARE in San Antonio event includes executive-level programming through EXECUforum 2016 (Feb. 29–March 1) and the SHARE Live! virtual event, which features 25+ handpicked sessions on everything from the new IBM z13s to security. The event also offers an exhibition with over 40 companies.

SHARE in San Antonio will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, and is open to both members and non-members. Visit SHARE.org for more information about registration and fees. One-day passes as well as group rates are available.
