BUDAPEST, Hungary & MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Blue Prism, the leading developer of enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) software, will be co-hosting a pre-conference workshop with Symphony Ventures, a consulting, implementation and managed services firm focused on helping create new and better ways of working, at Fleming’s Shared Services Conference on February 17 in Budapest. Alex Bentley, head of automation strategy at Blue Prism, and David Brain, co-founder and COO of Symphony Ventures, will discuss the capabilities of RPA in the shared services industry, provide detail on how it can be put into practice and help attendees build their own business case.
A virtual workforce of software robots fueled by RPA can add value across all departments in an organization as they allow resources to be shared collectively without needing to allocate human capital resources to those tasks. As organizations continue to utilize technology to execute and streamline operational processes, research has found that RPA is best suited for so-called “swivel chair” processes – where humans take inputs from one set of systems, such as email or spreadsheets, process those inputs using rules and then enter outputs into systems of record, like ERP or CRM systems. As a business unit that receives inputs from multiple business departments, various suppliers and legions of external customers, shared services is rife with “swivel chair” processes and therefore an ideal candidate to benefit from RPA.
Bentley and Brain will collaborate to lead a workshop focused on implementing RPA to enhance processes in shared services and global business services environments during the pre-conference workshop at Fleming’s Shared Services conference. The half day workshop will explore what it takes to incorporate RPA into the shared services environment and the business benefits it unleashes, in addition to discussing what enterprises can do to build digital operations of the future. More information on the session, starting at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, can be found on the event website.
“By collaborating with Symphony, this workshop will demonstrate the power of RPA technology and the synergies that make deploying it in the shared services and GBS space ideal,” said Bentley. “With more than a decade of experience bringing the virtual digital workforce to leading global enterprises, we understand the levers that need to be pulled to not only successfully deploy RPA in shared services, but also ensure it's delivering meaningful business impact. This workshop will divulge all we’ve learned.”
“As various business units and departments strive to work together to deliver on business needs, shared services organizations that deploy RPA have the opportunity to reallocate resources and optimize efficiency within the organization by utilizing software robots to emulate human tasks,” said Brain. “We’re excited to combine Symphony’s robust outsourcing and process expertise with Blue Prism’s innovative, enterprise-grade technological approach to help even more organizations realize the true value that RPA can deliver.”
Fleming’s 7th Annual Shared Services conference will be taking place February 17-19 in Budapest. The event will bring together hundreds of executives to explore the benefits of shared services and innovative technologies in the industry, with a focus on RPA.
