TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Saison Information Systems Co., Ltd. (JASDAQ:9640)(Headquarters: Tokyo, CEO: Takashi Miyano) became the first ever software vendor to release a fully featured Data Integration Suite on the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Marketplace in January, 2016.
The suite consists of two complementary middleware products which can be used either separately or together:
- HULFT, which is primarily known for its MFT (Managed File Transfer) capabilities, and,
- DataSpider, which offers functionality in the categories of EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) and ESB (Enterprise Service Bus).
This time, special versions of both middleware products were released designed to be run on the Amazon AMI (Amazon Machine Image), a special type of virtual appliance that is used to create a VM (Virtual Machine) within the Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud).
HULFT Division Managing Director, Kazuhiro Uchida commented, “Our Data Integration Suite provides simple and scalable ways for enterprises to consolidate legacy systems, automate workflows, and prepare for the IoT (Internet of Things) era with a low TCO (total cost of ownership). It was only natural that we provide versions of our middleware especially for Amazon AWS since it comes with all the tools needed to interact with AWS Services, is optimally configured for the AWS ecosystem, and is continually supported and updated by AWS.”
HULFT (Harmonious Universal Link File Transfer), the name of a division of Saison Information Systems Co., Ltd. and one of its brands, is a MFT (Managed File Transfer) middleware with approximately 177,000 licenses in use in over 42 countries by over 8,200 enterprises in numerous industries. Since its first release in 1993, HULFT, has continuously evolved to provide features demanded by enterprise customers, and increased the number of supported platforms.
HULFT eliminates the development overhead, security issues, and costs of using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) for large data transfers between sites, systems, and business partners. Known for being easy to configure and modify to fit particular needs, HULFT allows for executing efficient and effective data integration across various systems, both inside and outside organizations. Features include file distribution, distribution management, security, and job scripting to ensure stability and reliability of data flow over IT infrastructure.
HULFT has achieved a market share of 4th globally and 1st in Asia Pacific within the managed file transfer (MFT) software category (*1). It enables the integration of disparate platforms, between cloud and on-premise, and between locations around the world. In addition to HULFT8.1 AMI for Windows available on AWS Marketplace since the last November, with the release of HULFT8.1 for Amazon Linux, organizations can enjoy its secure, reliable, and high-performance data transfer capabilities across a broader environment on AWS.
