NetJapan, Inc., Releases ActiveImage Protector 2016 Linux Edition, a High-Speed System Backup and Disaster Recovery Solution Now with Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 and CentOS 7.2

TOKYO--()--NetJapan, Inc., developer of disk imaging backup, system disaster recovery, and virtualization software, has released ActiveImage Protector 2016 Linux Edition, a system backup and disaster recovery solution that now supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 and CentOS 7.2 with new Smart Sector backup for XFS file systems.

ActiveImage Protector 2016 Linux backup image files are compatible with the Windows image management utility, ImageCenter™, a management tool for scheduling replication and consolidation tasks to on-site and off-site high capacity storage. Interoperability support with ImageBoot™ to instantly boot backup images as virtual machines from a Windows based hypervisor for interim instant availability.

ActiveImage Protector 2016 Linux also supports vStandby AIP™, a two-minute standby disaster recovery solution using virtual machines created from ActiveImage Protector backup image files and kept current by taking incremental boot points and applying to the standby virtual machine. When combined with ActiveImage Protector’s incremental backups, users can benefit from a Recovery Point Objective of only five minutes.
